About PickSide

What is PickSide?

PickSide (pickside.win) is a free, multilingual website for taking a side on clear questions. Every question has two or three fixed sides. You pick one and immediately see how everyone else chose — across all votes, registered accounts and members.

There are no comments, debates or AI summaries — only neutral questions, sides and real numbers. Questions are reviewed by people and published in eight languages — English, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Russian — sharing one set of results.

Browsing, voting and every result are free and need no account. Signing in (with an email link or Google) keeps your private history across devices. An optional paid membership lets you show your avatar on questions you choose, propose new questions and find like-minded people. It never adds votes or weight.

How PickSide works

  1. One question, 2–3 sides — Every question has fixed, equal options. Pick one; you can change or withdraw while it is open.
  2. Numbers only — No reasons, comments or AI summaries. Background links live in a separate tab.
  3. Registered-account share — Shows how many votes on each side come from registered accounts. It is not proof of unique people.
  4. Every vote counts equally — Membership never adds votes or weight. Member results are a subset of all votes.

How the numbers work

  • All results: each side’s valid votes divided by all valid votes on the question. Percentages use one decimal and always add up to 100.0%.
  • Registered-account share: the part of a side’s votes that comes from registered accounts (registered votes ÷ that side’s votes). Sides are calculated independently.
  • Member results: each side’s current-member votes divided by all current-member votes on the question. Members are already included in the totals — nothing is counted twice.
  • Membership is classified at the moment you look. When a membership starts or ends, the vote moves into or out of the member view; the total never changes.
  • Zero votes show “—” instead of 0%. We never fill results with demo numbers.

Rules

  • One current vote per participant per question. You may change or withdraw while the question is open.
  • No reasons, comments, discussions or AI summaries. Background references are neutral links.
  • After the first valid vote, a question’s meaning and options are locked.
  • Guest votes are tied to this browser and are not strict proof of unique people. Abnormal votes may be excluded; the reason is recorded.
  • Advertising and sponsorships are always labelled and never affect votes, ranking or results.

Membership

Membership supports PickSide and unlocks three extras: show your avatar on questions you choose, propose questions and find like-minded people. It never adds votes or weight.

How PickSide uses Google sign-in

Google sign-in is optional. If you choose “Continue with Google”, PickSide receives only your Google account ID, email address, name and profile photo, and uses them solely to sign you in and link your account. We never post on your behalf, access other Google data, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.

Google API use and content policy

  • PickSide uses Google APIs only for Google Sign-In (OpenID Connect), to sign you in and link your account. No other Google API is used.
  • PickSide does not generate, edit or host images, video or any other AI-generated media, and there are no image uploads. An avatar is either a generated pattern or the profile photo of your own Google account, shown only if you turn it on.
  • PickSide never uses Google APIs or Google user data to create, edit or distribute AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII) or any sexual or intimate imagery. Such content is prohibited; questions are text only and are reviewed by people before they are published.
